WineVison: Notes from Communications Task Force Conference Call 2/28/00

Website:
Terry Salinger and Peter Bic to put together "soft" specs (including what we want
to achieve) for the WineVison Web Site to receive "soft" bid from
proposed consultants. Timeline: Present for action at the March 30th Communications meeting.
Web Site needs:
§ The inclusion of Bulletin boards for each Task Force.
§ a means to gather and share available data bases (Rich to further discuss with Peter as to the feasibility)
§ Update information about WineVision
§ Easy process for updating

Outreach:
§ Simon has made several presentations about WineVision reaching over 800 folks in the wine community.
§ Upcoming opportunities include:
ú Wineries Unlimited on March 22 (Karen and Simon to present WineVision)
ú New York in April
ú East Coast WineVision Forum March 17th (Simon to lead)
ú Central Coast Financial Symposium March 21 (Mark Chandler to present WineVision)
§ Cynthia to provide the WineVision presenters with updated information from the task force meetings. Updated PowerPoint presentation available as appropriate.
§ Waunice to ship WineVision planning books to Simon.
§ A simplified WineVision Brochure to be explored as a communications tool when presenting WineVision - Cynthia
§ In the future request each task force to quarterly identify any key messages that they want to reach the wine community - Cynthia to discuss with each task force leader.
§ Rich and Paul Wagner to put together Public Relations proposal for WineVision

Trends Monitoring System:
§ Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Inc. suggested a means by which a Wine entity could host their Food Foresight Blue Ribbon Panel Meeting this June and make the Food Foresight Trends Analysis available to WineVision. Approval was giving to proceed in finding a wine industry host.
